I saw that last night. Those Staffies were family dogs but also therapy dogs. Unfortunately the statistics I read at the Daily Mail is that on average US police kill 25 to 39 pet dogs a day.

First off. That was in Duluth (I believe). Not Minneapolis. Secondly,What do you expect from a state that wants absolute control over EVERYTHING? It's crazy, the only places more liberal/Socialist are New York and California. Massachusetts is right up there too, as is Illinois (especially Chicago).

I think there was a ruling that if your pet even growels or barks at the INTRUDING COP, they are "threatened", so their within their rights to kill your beloved pet.

A dog won't understand why this stranger intrudes into your home and is acting aggressively to their human companions.

Your dog is LIKELY to be killed by your friendly, neighborhood cop.

They get away with it because they only have to scream " they feared for their lives" or feared an attack. Some states these dog killers are basically immune from prosecution .

It's not Minneapolis.

All across the country, cops are shooting first and questioning later.

Gun culture. Just about every week a cop
Is gunned down. Puts them on edge and so they gun down others. Doesn't happen in other civilized countries.

No, they have more terror attacks to make up for it.

In other countries police get killed by terrorists. Here it is on a domestic dispute call.

I think the situation is a little different here. Our police get killed by activists with no agenda other than anarchy.

The majority are just on domestic dispute calls.

I'd like to see some stats on that. You realize you are saying that police are killed responding to domestic violence calls, right?

Yes.

Domestic disturbance calls: Always dangerous and sometimes deadly

Domestic disturbance calls: Always dangerous and sometimes deadly
. Since 1855, when New Haven, Connecticut Night Watchman Thomas Cummins became the first officer ever to be killed on a domestic disturbance call, 546 other officers in the United States have suffered the same tragic fate.

From your source. That is not a majority of police officers killed since 1855. In other words, your first statement was and is a fantasy.

The FBI, in its most recent report on officer slayings, said that disturbance calls accounted "for more line-of-duty deaths than any other circumstance," even outpacing arrests gone awry, or encounters with robbery, burglary and drug suspects combined.

Domestic Call Is the Deadliest of All for Police : Crime: Officer's slaying a grim reminder that home disturbances account for majority of on-duty deaths.
