Take a poll on whether the Obamacare "train-wreck" or the Tea-Party stupidity will decide the 2014 mid-term election.

Obamacare is the largest set of policy lies ever imposed on the US.

The Tea-Party is the dumbest collection of morons ever assembled.

Who will be put in-charge of Congress and the Senate in 2014?

I believe it comes down to the fact that most people within this country want to live within a first world society.

People want
Infrastructure
Science
Tech
education
Manufacturing

You see the majority of this country want 1. high paying jobs, 2. a good education and 3. exist to a broad choice of tech items. Giving more money to a third world shit hole at the cost of our children is going to make the majority of this country throw your ass out of office.

So which set of liars are you planning on voting for??

Moderates on both sides ;)

According to all the polls, it's going to be a democratic landslide, and I don't see anything else besides the dems taking back the house

What the democrats need to do is

1. Show that the 3 area's causing the debt are benefits, nation building and federal wall street hand outs. Tell the public through easily understood graphs that these are the area's that are causing our debt. Tell them that you will work to fix the problem/concerns.

2. Give up the anti-white slant of the party. I am not saying stop being pro-non-white but you don't like it when the republicans slam/attack blacks??? Whites vote and dropping that @ offering real solutions = winning out right. Racial politics are bad.

3. Showing that the democrats can lead America in the 21st century. Strong defense, pro science and education.

This is the winning ticket to win big time.

Depends on what the GOP does in 2014. If they continue to be the party of spending cuts on the back of the working poor and middle class, while cutting taxes for the very wealthy, they will lose. If they continue to characterize neccessary infrastructure spending as waste, and stand in the way of that spending, they will lose. If they continue to characterize our scientists as some kind of communists when they verify what the rest of the scientists in the world are telling us, they will lose.

In other words, business as it has been for the last 15 years is going to be a loser for the GOP in 2014 and 2016. It is imperitive that the moderates take back the GOP before it goes the way of the Whigs.

The GOP is too stupid to realize that. The extreme right thinks the answer to everything is to keep going even further to the right. They will keep up with the same BS all the way until next year, get their asses kicked, blame the candidates were RINOS, continue until 2016, Hillary will win, etc,..

Until the right wing propaganda machine ceases to exist, it's going to be smooth sailing for the democrats.

On #1. Subsidies to big business should go out the window except in cases of R and D that will benefit the nation. Then, if the R and D works out well for the company, the government should be paid back the cost, specified that it will go to further R and D partnerships of business and government.

Benefits will go down as people go back to work. SS benefits should not be cut, but means testing may be put into affect, as long as it is done in a form that does not discourage individual saving. Medicare should be merged or expanded into a Single Payer Universal Health Care System, funded from income taxes on all income.

#2 I don't think that there is that much anti-white sentiment in the Democratic Party. We have our Al Sharpton's, the GOP has their Michelle Bachmann's. Most of us just want to be represented by someone that reflects our needs and interests, irregardless of complexion or ethnicity.

#3. Strong defense, yes, but we don't need to spend nearly as much on defense as the rest of the world combined.

Education, most certainly. Oregon is adapting a variant on the idea put forward by John Campbell, editor of the Analog Science Fiction Magazine about 50 years ago. If it works, it could make education affordable for all that qualify, while making the financial burden reasonable. If it does work, it should be adopted for the whole nation.

Encourage science by all reasonable means. Demonstrate nationally respect for the people that have given us this wonderful life we enjoy at present. At present there are far too many in politics that like to demagogue on 'elite scientists'. Can that. Point out the terrible fallacy that it is based on, that ignorance is better than knowledge.

The last choice is absurd because we know exactly how the MSM will play it.
