What are the disadvantages of using some kind of Adblocker?

I am so sick of seeing advertisements on the internet that I am considering using an adblocker. What are the disadvantages of doing this?

None, except to the advertiser..........

There are some sites though that don't like ad blockers and will either tell or ask you to disable it before proceeding. Personally if they require I disable it I just find another site.

The only flaw, and it's very minor, is that some images that people post, don't show up because AdBlock blocks it. Then you have to turn it off and reload the page --- if it's worth it to do that. And usually it isn't.

So when I see a post with no content, it means it's a blocked image and I don't bother. I figure if they have a point it can be articulated.

I have another computer that I rarely use for internet and didn't bother to put ABP on. But if I do go online it's torture, especially YouTube. Watch commercials?? Why?
