Is this a waste of taxpayer's $$:
Retiring military officers with no combat injuries drawing an extra % of pay for life for a disability. They sprained an ankle or had a sore shoulder and received a rating at retirement or before retirement to boost their retirement pay.
And then work a full time job with no problem after retirement with their disability increase in pay.
This is wide spread now. My neighbor did it, brags about it and works a full time job with the US Forestry Department now.
I like the guy but there is nothing wrong with him at all and he receives an extra 10K or more a year for this.
Yeah, look at McCain, a perfect example of a 100% disabled veteran drawing disability, drawing POW pay from 50 years ago, a military pension & Social Security, a congressional salary, medical benefits and lifetime pension, all the while hiking a mile down and out of the Grand Canyon, flying across America to serve in Congress, and running for office and traveling all over the nation in a bus and car. How do these 100% disabled military people manage??
He is one of the reasons I question a disabled parking spot in front of Extreme Sports Equipment store.
And he had a choice of seven cars, all luxury models.
