Humanitarian aid workers based in the Westcountry have told of the traumatic experience of children caught up in the Syrian conflict as a new report warns of a “lost generation” of young people growing up not only facing violence and abuse but with their future slipping away without an education.

Aid workers who have travelled to refugee camps in the Middle East have told of their efforts to help children fleeing the civil war in Syria by not only delivering aid but also by taking vital educational supplies to give young people a chance to rebuild their lives.
