Well done UKIP.

Labour Majority Gone In Wales As UKIP Wins Seats

UKIP makes history by winning its first Assembly seats at the expense of Labour - which fails to retain power in the Senedd.

UKIP has won its first seats in the Welsh Assembly - adding to Labour's electoral woes as the party fell just short of a majority in Wales.

Former Tory MPs Neil Hamilton and Mark Reckless are among six UKIP members who have been elected on regional lists representing Mid and West Wales, North Wales, South Wales East and South Wales West.

This is despite the party being opposed to the Assembly's existence until 2013.

This is a good thing. Nice post.

Labour?

Oh! You mean the Liberal Democrats of 2016!

But can Labour accept defeat, disgrace and disassembly as gracefully as did the Liberal Democrats?
They will probably ally themselves.

Labour owned Scotland for decades, the pummelling they got in the General Election was bad enough, even losing Glasgow, which was Redder than Red....now last nights further disaster.

It's difficult to envisage a scenario how Labour can ever regain the trust of Scotland within a generation. I certainly don't think Labour campaigning against Independence helped their cause and they'll never live that down.
