We Tried To Warn You, Libs...

And yet the United States enjoys significant more worldwide approval than under the previous administration.

The Nobel Prize was a broad statement that the rest of the world was not comfortable with the simplistic, single minded, militaristic policies of the Bush administration. Obama has shown he is willing to consider the impact his decisions have on other countries in determining foreign poicy. The world as a whole is much more satisfied with an Obama led US than a Bush led US

Obama needs to apologize for how stupid and incompetent he's made the US look

It is one thing for President Obama to criticize his own tribe in other lands if what he's doing is simply acknowledging that we have made mistakes and are intent on learning from them, correcting them, not repeating them.

It is another to go on a huge "America sucks" tour and forget to note that while we (like all other nations) have made some mistakes and been guilty of self-serving behaviors, we have ALSO (unlike many many other nations) engaged in concerted and long-term efforts to assist other nations -- including some recently defeated enemies -- and folks all over the planet who have been in need of help. We have served as an arsenal of democracy and freedom and an economic engine for prosperity the world over.

Since President Obama doesn't really much like America, and since he has a clear innate mistrust of capitalism, he acts accordingly.

He is a rank amateur and it does show. His Foreign Policy is, for the most part, dangerously misguided since it stems from his own distaste for America. And other nations are not anywhere near as altruistic as he seems to imagine they are. EVERY other nation engages in foreign policy that looks first to assist themselves. No wonder they see a real freak in the "rock superstar" poseur that President Obama is. They must be mystified that we actually permitted this man to be our "front man."

I blame us. We collectively fucked up. We gave ourselves a choice between Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama. And even with that lousy set of options, we chose the weaker of the two. We chose the worst person ever to sit in the Oval Office.

I just hope we learn a crucial lesson from that mistake and that there is time to undo the damage the child-king is causing.

This is the first line:

President Obama came into office as the heir to a great foreign policy legacy enjoyed by every recent U.S. president.

What?!

Seriously.

I suspect Mort became a W. fan after W. took him to Israel.

He's another billionaire for Bush.

maybe some words from obama's cheerleading squad will
get through that thick Bush skull of yours;

Chris Matthews | NewsBusters.org

"On a special edition of Tuesday's Countdown show on MSNBC which aired after President Obama's address to the nation, the panel of Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and Howard Fineman were not impressed by*the President's speech, as the group complained*that it was not "specific"*enough and lacked details.

Matthews complained that in the Obama administration, "meritocracy is going too far," and asserted that it was "ludicrous" that the President had mentioned that the Secretary of Energy has a Nobel Prize. He also recalled promising to "barf" if the President brought up the Nobel Prize again. Matthews:

So maybe now you guys will quit whining about the "liberal" media being in the bag for Obama?

When are you all going to get that most of us don't give a damn what Chris Matthews thinks of the President?

Again, this is the disconnect were people think the punditry class is some sort of superior class that has a deeper grasp on issues than everyone else and whose words carry more weight than the average joe as opposed to the truth: They are just entertainers.

Yeah, its not like he pre-emptively started a war invading a country looking for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction!

March 4, 2007 ...

You have probably heard that America’s image in the world is not particularly good these days. The most recent evidence of this was a poll that we conducted for BBC World Service together with GlobeScan in 26 countries around the world. Polling was conducted last November through January. The question asked was whether the United States is having a positive or negative influence in the world.

On average across the 26 countries polled, 30 percent say the US is having a mostly positive influence in the world while 51 percent say the US is having a mostly negative influence.

In 20 of the 26 countries polled, the most common view is that the US is having a mostly negative influence in the world. In four countries, the most common view is that the US is having a mostly positive influence and in two of them, views are evenly divided.

Views of US influence are consistently negative in Canada, Latin America and the Middle East. They are mostly negative in Europe, with the exception of Poland, which leans positive, and Hungary, which is divided. Africans in this poll and in others have the most consistently positive views of the US. Asian views are more mixed, but lean negative. Filipinos are very positive and Indians are divided, but all others are clearly negative.

It should be noted that this reaction cannot simply be dismissed as something necessarily engendered by a powerful and rich country. The numbers we are seeing today are the lowest numbers that have ever been recorded.

During the 1990s, views of the US were predominantly positive.

Let me guess - the US was seeing rock-bottom opinion ratings in March 2007 because ... the Democrats controlled Congress!

If Obama screws up the country, then it's going to hurt everyone regardless of how they voted.

For Christ's sake, this isn't baseball.

I'm prepared for that I did not vote for the man and you that voted for him were warned not to vote for him. I will give no support to his socialist agenda nor will I compoly with any of his unconstitutional mandates.

"Warned not too"?

For fuck's sake, man, this is America. We are all entitled to our vote.

Give me a break. Even if we divorce the massive groundswell of support for Obama (mostly a reaction to the disaster that was Bush) and reduced it to Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin then it was an easy decision for most Americans.

Obviously.

When you warn someone not to vote for a certain person it is in no way telling them they can't vote for that person.

Everything wrong is Bush's fault
If we abase ourselves, our enemies will love us, because they hate us for our sins, not their own deformities.
Out blessings are not because of our former good sense and hard work, but because we stole it it from others. Therefore we need to give it back.

can you expect better from people whose leaders are rushbo and beck?

Whatever would you do without George Bush comparisons? Alert, it's less than 2.5 years t the next election and GW been gone over a 18 months. His mistakes/lies/incompetencies do nothing to improve what a disaster Obama is.

When conservatives try to paint Obama as a disaster, I am always obligated to point out what a disaster Bush was and the fact that they blindly supported him for eight years of his disaster.

No one blindly supported Bush, he should have lost in 2004 until you RETARDS ran the one guy that Bush was better then.

Maybe "blindly supported" is an overstatement, but Bush had an 80% approval rating by conservative Republicans when he left office.

W had his faults.

He was, after all, far from a conservative.

Most conservatives can readily acknowledge that W had his faults -- even if they disagree with the fraudulent lib claims about what those faults were.

But, here's the thing.

It is a VERY very rare lib who can acknowledge what a huge disaster President Obama is.

And we warned you not to vote for McPalin. Since they lost, we don't get to gloat about the matter after the fact I suppose.

After 8 years of running the country and disaster after disaster, you are damn right Bush rightfully deserves some criticism.

That being said, Obama is President and the buck stops with him. However, it takes some time to fix 8 years of fuck up after fuck up.
