Washington Times: "Tea Party & Occupy Phonies: Ron Paul's Liberty Movement Real Deal"

My mother was a WV delegate for Ron Paul in 2008. My two brothers and two sisters voted for Obama. I was going to vote for McCain but sat that election out. My point is that Rand Paul isn't Ron Paul. He may agree with his father on certain points but I always saw him as another neo-con. Anyone butthurt that he supported someone other than his father hasn't been paying attention to his record.

I congratulate you for having the balls to put The Moonie Times right in the thread title. That takes guts.

The Washington Times is a fine newspaper. Just because you Socialist/Progresssive Wingnuts hate it, doesn't mean it's not a good newspaper. In fact, i think that's an excellent reason to like & respect it. :)

They do disagree on some issues, but Rand is far from being a Neocon. Just go and look at his past sponsored Legislation. Him and his Father are some of the very few who have consistently fought against the Patriot Act & NDAA. In fact, the NDAA would be worse if not for Rand Paul standing up and forcing provisions to be removed. He walks the walk when it comes to preserving Freedom & Liberty.

How many journalism awards has the Washington Times won?

Not a big issue for me. Liberal Media hacks handing each other awards, is how the system has worked for many years. Once in awhile they'll throw a Conservative Media Outlet a bone, but it's very rare. It's like the Nobel Peace Prize. Only Left Wingers need apply. So the journalism award thing doesn't do much for me. I can think for myself. And the Washington Times is a good newspaper in my opinion.

Pulitzer Prizes? Washington Times is not even considered due to their poor standards of Journalism The fact that Ron Paul supporters have to rely on the Washington Times shows how pathetic their candidate really is

Washington Times?

The Washington Times is a daily broadsheet newspaper published in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. It was founded in 1982 by Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon, and until 2010 was owned by News World Communications, an international media conglomerate associated with the church.
Former speechwriter for President George W. Bush David Frum, in his 2000 book How We Got Here: The '70s, wrote that Moon had granted the Times editorial independence.[6] But some former employees, including the newspaper's first editor and publisher, James R. Whelan, have insisted that the paper was under Moon's control from the beginning. Whelan, whose contract guaranteed editorial autonomy, left the paper when the owners refused to renew the contract, asserting that "I have blood on my hands" for helping Moon acquire legitimacy

However the RP movement is supported by TP "phonies".
How do you sort em out?

His own TP son would not endorse him for president.

"Libertarian attitudes are fueling roughly half the tea party activists, according to our new Cato Institute survey. These libertarian tea partiers believe “the less government the better” and don’t see a role for government in promoting “traditional values.” This is a big reason why the movement has largely focused on economic matters, resisting attempts to add social issues to its agenda.... Just under half, or 48 percent, of tea partiers at the recent Virginia Tea Party Convention held views that are more accurately described as libertarian — fiscally conservative, to be sure, but moderate to liberal on social and cultural issues."

Like i said, journalism awards don't do it for me. For the most part, it's just Liberal Media friends handing awards to each other. It's no different than the Oscars or Nobel Peace Prize. Just a bunch of Liberal Wankers giving each other pats on the back. It is what it is.
