Whatever there were, they allowed ISIS to travel on the open desert roads unattacked enough, that they reconquered Fallujah, Tikrit, Mosul, etc, - cities that thousands of US soldiers sacrificed their lives to liberate a few years earlier. Those convoys traveled long distances without any problem at all. That's how the cities got to be unliberated.

Mosul went much the same way. Mosul was infiltrated with ISIS sympathizers prior to the attack by ISIS and fall of the city.

EARTH TO NFBW: In 2016, Obama was still president, and ISIS had been raising havoc all over Iraq for 2-3 YEARS. "Years" ? If Trump had been president, ISIS convoys would have been obliterated long before they could ever ever traveled as far as Fallujah. Or Tikrit. Or Ramadi. Or Mosul. They would not have lasted 2 WEEKS.
