I neither agree nor disagree with the removal. I frankly don't care one way or the other, but the bottom line is, these are statues of people who tried to destroy our Republic over the refusal of the federal government to continue allowing slavery. Why southerners have been obsessed with worshiping these people nearly 150 years after they were defeated in this endeavor I will never understand.

I frankly don't care one way or the other, but the bottom line is, these are statues of people who tried to destroy our Republic over the refusal of the federal government to continue allowing slavery. . It is a one-sided affair to cherry pick history, while leaving other history in place to be used by the agenda riddled left-wing slanted Hollywood to exact racist hatred against whitey. Also if government allows this to go on, then it is also complicit in the working to set up a one sided view of history in which can be just as damaging than the countering balanced view we have today. It should all be agreed to be moved to museums where people have to view it in proper context or it is to be left just like it is.

Statue should stay as a part of American history and a reminder that even at the Constitutional Convention of 1787 things were not perfect, but they did a fantastic job with what they did accomplish.
