Vermont was recently rated as the safest state. And Vermont lets anyone carry a gun, even without a permit.

Vermont has great gun laws. They also only have around 625,000 people in the state (roughly 90 miles x 120 miles?).

The top 10 safest states per the article is interesting, guess one should keep away from the South:

1 Vermont
2 Maine
3 New Hampshire
4 Utah
5 Massachusetts
6 Connecticut
7 Hawaii
8 Minnesota
9 Rhode Island
10 Wyoming

Well folks in the NE are pretty tolerant, well educated, and not a lot of evangelical types trying to gin up hatred. Essentially the exact opposite of the South.

Safety is a multifaceted issue, encompassing everything from personal and residential security to financial stability and natural disaster preparedness. WalletHub’s study did not shy away from complexity, instead embracing a broad spectrum of 52 key safety indicators.
It {Vermont} notably took first place in workplace safety and ninth in emergency preparedness. Maine and New Hampshire were not far behind, boasting excellent scores in personal safety and road safety, respectively.
Except NH takes a dump in workplace safety.

Demographics are a real thing, but you won’t like what you find when you look into them regarding murder rates in the South. It will mess up your narrative. I’ll give you a strong hint, most murders(51%) are commited by a very heavily Democratic base that only make up about 13% of the US population. Guess which states have by far the heaviest concentration of this demographic? Yep, you got it…the South. What are the murder rates, per capita, in Idaho, Wyoming and Utah? It is not a Democrat vs Republican thing, nor even a fully economic one, but unfortunately, according to the actual numbers, a racial one. Equally poor white neighborhoods don’t have as high a murder rate per capita as poor African American neighborhoods. There is a cultural issue that needs to be addressed In these communities.

Democrats may not like these facts, but they are facts nonetheless.
