USA=Japan?

I just read an article on Japan's economy since 1990 and the similarity to our current situation is striking. We may be stuck in the doldrums for the next 25 years unless we let the economy adjust on its own, which isn't going to happen any time soon. It may be too late to do anything, anyway.
