Either Obama doesn't trust our military or he just wants to go easy on ISIS, or both. He is trying to micromanage every move and won't leave any decisions up to military. What is happening is that it can take hours to get permission to strike a target once the pilots have ISIS members in their sights. The enemy has plenty of time to get away before permission is given to go after them. Someone described it as conducting this war against ISIS like a rain shower or drizzle when the right way is to go after them like a thunderstorm.

We have the capability to end them in a hurry IF that is the goal. Apparently, Obama has something else in mind.

Well hell it took weeks...make that months for Obama to solve his problem in Benghazi at our Diplomatic Compound. He just let the Ambassador and his security force of 3 Navy Seals burn up. Problem solved. Except for Hildebeasts' deleted emails.

But then there was Clinton's numerous opportunities to take out bin-Laden before 9-11 ever happened. But shit, he was more worried about the Prince of don't-kill-him being blown up in the process. Another time he was worried if bin-Laden was actually captured, we (the U.S.) didn't have an ergonomically correct chair for the son of a bitch to sit in while in custody.

Bottom line is that once we are involved, we should unleash our military and let them get the job done. This half-ass effort doesn't eliminate ISIS and just puts our people in mortal danger. Either let our troops kick ass or bring them home. Obama is just sending them for show, but he is taking the same approach he does to our border. We have people there, but they aren't allowed to do their jobs.

Well, to be "fair".....there's a portion of the O/Poster's article that states a rebuttal from the Air Force command.....Did anyone bother to cite THAT part?
.....and, you do realize that you're not just bashing Obama (as expected) but ALSO the Pentagon?

It's exactly the same as it was in Viet Nam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. We do not fight war as war, we fight political and diplomatic wars. And, as a result, we sacrifice our men and women of the armed forces.

Oh, if only this part of the article could have been written in Yiddish......

A spokesman for the U.S. Air Force’s Central Command pushed back: “We refute the idea that close air support strikes take 'an hour on average'. Depending on the how complex the target environment is, a strike could take place in less than 10 minutes or it could take much longer.

Of course they did. If they don't want to be court martialed and relieved of duty.

What all of you right wingers fail to understand is that this is NOT a declared war against a nation....those ISIS cowards are intertwined with innocent civilians and, either you take Machiavelli's advice and kill them ALL, or you risk additional enemies with every misplaced bomb the AF drops that kills innocents, spawning more enemies.

I guess this is the very FIRST time that the armed forces disagree with the civilian leadership, isn't that so right wingers?

Amen brother. Either go big or stay home.

civilian leadership seems to have something other than victory in mind Nat . Course knowing that its mrobama and his crew then its understandable 'nat' !!

here's YOUR dilemma.......Either you're openly accusing Obama of being on the side of radical Muslims (ISIS).......OR, you have no clue what the consequences of indiscriminate bombing of civilians entails.

After all, Obama is sitting comfortably in his oval office....and it doesn't take much to simply state, "sure, if you have bombs, drop them away..."

I don't mind targeted bombing of areas to rid it of enemies , also understand that their will be casualties like in Germany and Japan . Saw them in ww2 in both theatres . No dilemma for me Nat !!
