People in the U.S. are beginning to see the light, it seems.

United Church of Christ Approves Israel Divestment to help Palestinians

"Approval came at the church’s general synod in Cleveland, where delegates voted 508 to 124 in favor, with 38 abstentions. It was one of two resolutions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict debated at the church, which has nearly one million members and more than 5,000 congregations nationwide.

The second resolution, which would call the actions of Israel against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip acts of apartheid, was still under debate Tuesday afternoon."

There goes another 2000 Palestinian jobs and an increase in costs to the US taxpayers who will have to feed, clothe and house the destitute of Palestine. Will monte accept a 20% increase in his tax burden this year ?

LOL. that's the same Church that Reverend Wright and all these anti American scumbags preach hate from their pulpits.

Two large, well-known congregations within the United Church of Christ are the Trinity United Church of Christ (Chicago) and the Cathedral of Hope (Dallas). Trinity UCC, pastored for over 30 years by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is a predominantly black church with 8,000 members. President Obama claimed this as his home church in Chicago. The Cathedral of Hope (Dallas) is known for its outreach to the LGBT community. Local membership is over 4,000, and the church claims 52,000 adherents worldwide.

"God Damn America"

More and more mainline churches will follow the lead of the UCC and the Presbyterian churches on divesting from Israel. You can stamp your feet and whine all you want, it doesn't matter.

The United Church of Christ has about a million adherents and over 5,000 churches in the United States. As your own link states:

"The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a mainline Protestant denomination that was formed when the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the General Council of the Congregational Christian Churches were united in 1957. Historically, the United Church of Christ is a continuation of the General Council of Congregational Christian Churches founded under the influence of New England Puritanism.

Chip, chip, chip.

One year ago, the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) passed a resolution to divest from three U.S. corporations: Hewlett-Packard , Caterpillar and Motorola—all of which supply equipment used by the Israeli military in its occupation of Palestinian territory. The same year, the United Methodist Church pension board divested from security firm G4S for its role in Israeli prisons operating in the West Bank. Several Quaker bodies have taken divestment actions as well.

And since last year Israeli economy has grown and more companies and countries have started doing business with Israel.

Keep jerking yourselves off to nothing.

Yep another 1000 Palestinian families now without income and facing starvation. And not a Jew in sight to blame for the plight of the Palestinians. Proud of yourself yet, or do you want 20,000 to die before it sinks in

Israel revises economic forecast, predicting higher growth
With GDP expected to be 3.5% this year, the country’s new finance minister will have an easier time keeping election promises.

Treasury officials are preparing bullish new estimates for economic growth this year as data coming in for the final part of 2014 and early 2015 show growth rebounding at a faster pace than anyone predicted just a few months earlier.

A final estimate is still being calculated, but Finance Ministry officials said they are now expecting Israel’s gross domestic product to expand 3.5% this year. That would mean a much faster pace of growth than the 2.8% officials were talking about last summer when they provided the first estimate ahead of the 2015 budget.

Behind the new optimism is preliminary data for the fourth quarter of 2014, which showed GDP surging ahead at a 7.2% annual rate, it fastest since the first quarter of 2008. That raised growth for all of 2014 to 2.9%.

Israel - Economic forecast summary (June 2015)

Economic growth slowed in 2014, picked up strongly at the end of the year and should strengthen to around 3.5% in 2015 and 2016, helping to keep unemployment low. Lower oil prices, further cuts in interest rates and a significant revaluation of the minimum wage should shore up domestic demand, while the gradual improvement of the global economy boosts exports.

Israeli Economy Saw Massive 7 Percent Growth in Fourth Quarter of 2014

Israel's economy grew by 7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014.

JNS.orgThe Israeli economy grew 7 percent in the last quarter of 2014, its highest rate of growth in recent years, Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported.

In the third quarter of 2014, the Israeli economy grew only 0.3 percent while the war with Hamas was ongoing. The economy grew 1.5 percent in last year’s second quarter. By the end of 2014, Israel’s total economic value crossed the trillion-shekel threshold and reached its highest-ever amount: 1.09 trillion shekels ($278 billion).

Also in the fourth quarter of 2014, new car purchases jumped 75.5 percent in Israel, while purchases of refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, and dryers all increased about 22 percent. Purchases of clothing and footwear increased 10.3 percent, while spending on airfare for trips abroad rose 8.1 percent. The growth figures indicate that Israel’s military operation in Gaza took a smaller-than-expected toll on the country’s economy.

"Foreign investment in Israel drops by 50%

By Jack Moore 6/25/15 at 2:25 PM

Dr Ronny Manos, one of the report's authors and a researcher in the department of Management and Economics at the Open University of Israel, said that the decline was primarily caused by the fallout from the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Operation Protective Edge and international boycotts against the country for alleged violations of international law.

"We believe that what led to the drop in investment in Israel are Operation Protective Edge and the boycotts Israel is facing," she told Israeli news outlet
"International pressure on companies to refrain from investing in the Israeli economy has heightened with the rise of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Last October, drinks company Sodastream International closed one of its West Bank factories in a victory for the movement."

You failed again. Israeli economy is showing record growth. The drop as due to a global decline. Your bullshit article confirms this:

The report also notes that FDI fell globally, from €1.3tn in 2013 to €1.1tn in 2014, a drop of 16%. This global decline was caused by a number of geopolitical factors, such as instability in the Middle East and tensions between the West and Russia over Ukraine.

Oooops!

What part of Boycott-Divest-Sanction (BDS) do you not understand?

No empirical data to support that bullshit article.

Which is why the Israeli economy is showing record growth.

Epic fail part 8.

Ruddy claims:"No empirical data to support that bullshit article." Ruddy is wrong as usual.

"The report, published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), shows that only €5.7bn was invested into the country in 2014 in comparison with €10.5bn in 2013, a decrease of €4.8bn, or 46%. Israel's FDI in other countries also decreased by 15%, from €4.2bn in 2013 to €3.5bn last year."
