It was on news, that Hague, the UK's longest running anti Europe bully, has now made it clear, that it is better if the UK stays in the EU. This is logical. But what will happen now with all the sheeply loonies that were buying his anti Europe con? Hague may know that it is bad for money to exit the EU and lose the UK to an independent Scotland and Wales as a result. But can he turn the boat around in time for 2017, so that the rabidly anti Europe English public realizes this too? Or, will the English finally screw themselves now, after a 100 year of government controlled public thinking? Your take?

Hague is a failure, the UK is best in the union, and Scotland and Wales best in GB.

I totally agree. At least from an American or French point of view, this is indeed the best. It puzzles me, why the English constituents of the U.K. seem to have a problem with this.

The majority of people in England want to see Scotland and wales go independent so they no longer have to subsidise them and give in to their bullying. As the Scots found out they could not afford to go it alone after the price of oil crashed and the wells out at sea were closed down. We also don't want to be flooded with European criminals and rapists hiding behind human rights laws, nor do we want to see more of our food made illegal to be replaced with tasteless and short lived European varieties. The savings in welfare alone to European migrants, and the closing of the health service to them will pay for a new hospital every year. The Europeans know that if the UK walks it will collapse within 6 months and be overran with muslim extremists, while the UK will see the gates closed and a cut in immigration. All the politicians are doing is looking after themselves and their income because if we leave Europe then we will lose 600 politicians who are firmly seated on the gravy train.

You need to live here and see the problems first hand, not parroting some half baked political views that don't show any resemblance to reality

This sounds like the propaganda of the City. The City is even more above the law than Wall Street. So, where do the English think their money will come from after that? Does Britain pay its debt in its own currency? Even the US is running thin on that scheme now.

So, how will a newly isolated small country, such as England stay profitable after all the separations? I mean profitable for all its citizens, not only for its leading banks/insurers. A break up of the U.K. seems advantageous for a Franco-German European Union, because the current EU institutions are set up such, that the largest nation states have a natural advantage in most decisions.

Yes we do pay our debts, so much so that we are now reducing the amount that is borrowed. So explain how we can keep throwing £trillions at welfare that is unrecoverable and still provide a service to those who are paying for the service. The black hole that is the EU does not deserve our money until the neo Marxists ruling over it are eradicated and made unemployed. You ask where our money comes from, well it comes from exports outside of the EU and from people paying taxes, it does not come from the EU

For starters we wont be giving away 60% of our tax revenues to just 20% of the population, did you know that fact that 60% of the taxes raised are spent in Scotland and Wales and they are just 20% of the current population. So that would result in a cut in taxes for the English. Then there are the simple facts of policing that will need to be accounted for by them raising their own funds. As Salmond found out his pie in the sky plans failed when oil prices dropped and he was left with a defecit 6 months after the referendum.
