ALBANY — New York’s concealed carry gun laws will once again go in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh whether they are constitutional.

Gov. Kathy Hochul told reporters at the state Capitol Tuesday afternoon that her office had been notified only an hour earlier that Justice Clarence Thomas had granted the request for an emergency conference to evaluate the state’s new gun laws.

After the Supreme Court last year struck down the state’s previous concealed carry gun laws that were on the books for more than 100 years, Hochul called a special session in July 2022 to enact new gun laws, including changes to the state’s concealed carry laws, and also passed new requirements for ammunition sales that went into effect this month.

The state’s new concealed carry laws went into effect last September and do not allow individuals who have premises licenses to carry concealed outside of their home. Individuals now have to apply or re-apply for the new concealed carry license. Gun owners are also not allowed to carry at “sensitive locations,” which include libraries, places of worship, polling places, theaters and more.

Hochul criticized Thomas and said the latest move is just an attempt to placate conservative big donors.

Hochul is just another Democrat gun-grabber.

And 🤣 over this propaganda line: Hochul criticized Thomas and said the latest move is just an attempt to placate conservative big donors.

Bruen was a pretty hard slap in the face to the anti right to keep and bear arms Democrat assholes in New York but since they don't believe in the rule of law they essentially ignored it.

Good for Thomas for not letting them get away with it.
