There is a very easy answer to this problem. End the criminalization of drug users, and legalize the use of all drugs. It fixes a lot more problems than it creates.

You mean legalizing Meth, Cocaine, Heroin, etc will not create more problems?
what problem will it fix?

I say yes. Because some people are going to do it weather it is legal or not. But, I think the majority of people will not even try it.. Why not make it all legal, get the tax dollars on it if someone wants to kill themselves doing drugs so be it .. prescription. drugs are more dangerous now then illegal ones. More people die from overdose of those then illegal drugs

Not only that, consider the industry that has been created by making them illegal. US guns are going south and arming rebels - haven't we been bitten by that more than once? Jails here are full to overflowing - and we're footing that bill. Inner cities have been turned into battlegrounds due to drug related turf wars and collateral damage is something kids have to think about when they walk to school. Just to keep a few people from doing what they're going to do anyway. It makes no sense to me at all.

Okay this is easy. Liberty solution: legalize all drugs. Bring every troop home, end all foreign aid and offensive military spending and use the military to defend the country from illegal people invading it, like it was designed to do.

Ending foreign aid means going to MORE wars, not less.
And the military is prevented from doing ANYTHING domestically by law - which keeps rogue generals from sitting in the oval office and tanks off the White House lawn.

Read the book "Global Warrior" by an ex-USMC general. He lists the 3 main threats of the next global conflict: Radical Islam, Communism, Crime. The Communists are using drugs and criminals to destabilize the US from within. And the GOP is playing along by slashing funds to those who fight crime.
