Washington DC and Chicago were both leaders in bringing common gun sense to the nation. Their handgun bans and concealed carry bans made sense (less handguns, less handguns used in crime), and helped keep their residents safe.

And then, the NRA decided it wasn't satisfied with 30,000 innocent deaths a year, and decided to make even these two bastions of gun sense suffer.

When Chicago allowed concealed carry last year, and DC allowed it this year, it was a huge blow to gun safety in the United States.

How many more gun deaths does the NRA want?

Provide actual evidence that firearms crimes went up in either city because of less restrictions? Kind of hard to do since both cities have massive firearm deaths each year due to criminals with firearms and citizens with out.

That very much depends upon who gets dead. Since handguns mostly kill their owners or their family members, play on...

I completely agree. A gun is 43 times more likely to be taken out of your hands and used against you, than to be used in self defense.

Provide factual evidence that supports that claim. And don't use the tired old report that has been discredited many different times.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: OK, now you're just a fucking loon. Both cities are run by progressive Democrats, and have been anti gun for DECADES you fool. Guns are outlawed for anyone but police and criminals. What a flaming dipshit.

Provide factual evidence this is true. The fact is that a conservative estimate of firearms used to prevent crimes is 1.4 MILLION times a year in the US. Remind me again how many murders there are?

A stat that has been proven fraudulent for years, yet the brainless asshats trot it out at every turn.

You are a fucking loon for thinking that guns make anybody safer.

Something like that. Hey, sex and a free gun from the girl you rape, that's a win-win for the rapist.

His stat might be off but mine isn't. There are 32K gun deaths each year in the US. Almost 20K are suicides. Carry on.

If one wants to commit suicide one does not need a firearm. Convenience is not a reason to claim otherwise.

A gun is the favorite thing. The really interesting number is how many people buy a gun just for that, and it's a lot. The easier it is to kill yourself, the more likely you are to do so.

The accidental number is fun as well. He who lives by the sword...

Somehow it never is the culture that breeds the impulses of these people that is the reason behind the actions.

A gun is a tool for someone to use...Why not blame the single parent family and the culture that thinks nothing of violence?

Oh look what Santa has brought this board: a new gibbering idiot who doesnt have a fucking clue what he's talking about.
Here's a hint: When Statistheilhitler tells you to knock it off you know you've gone way way too far.
