  • A ban on open carrying. Gun owners may still carry their weapons, but they have to be concealed.
  • The law also expands a ban on AR-15s and other so-called assault weapons passed in 1993 and updated in 2013 after 20 first-graders and six adults were shot and killed the year before in Newtown. AR-15s purchased prior to the bans still can be legally owned, if registered with the police. But the new law closed what proponents called a loophole that allowed the legal sale of now-banned weapons if manufactured prior to 1994.
  • Limits the sale of handguns to three in any one month, increases training requirements for gun permit holders and raises the minimum age to purchase a semiautomatic rifle from 18 to 21, the same threshold as handguns.
  • Bans online sales of kits used to assemble “ghost guns,” firearms that have no serial number and are largely untraceable.
  • Increases requirements for safe storage of guns.
  • Sets more stringent bail, probation, and parole conditions for repeat firearms offenders.

Not sure how much crime this will stop considering law abiding citizens who legally purchase weapons are not committing the majority of crimes.

The last one is just a sop to RINO's in Connecticut to hide behind when they agree to the rest of the law's bullshit.

And Progressive DA's can dodge it by not charging criminals with gun crimes.

Another example of why we can't trust Liberals with our Constitutional rights.

A ban on AR-15s is a clear violation of the Bill of Rights that says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

It is also in violation of the Bruen decision, in addition to Heller and McDonald.

It won't stop any crime. It will grab up lawful gun owners.

Yeah CT where corrupt State Gestapo falsified more than 25000 traffic tickets

I wonder how many gun charges will be falsified with this new law.

Handgun purchases in Virginia are limited to one per month so Ct. is ahead with 3. All in all the regs seem relatively straight forward with the exception to the blurry definition of AR-15's.

As far as VA that is true unless you have a CCP.
