In the wake of the Republican electoral wave that saw the success of pro-life candidates, the leader of national pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony List is proclaiming that the liberal, abortion-focused “war on women” strategy is dead.

At an address at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, Susan B. Anthony List and Women Speak Out PAC President Marjorie Dannenfelser said, “To the extent that abortion was used as an issue by pro-abortion candidates, those candidates suffered a backlash.”

Dannenfelser’s organization utilized a highly effective ground campaign in support of pro-life Senate candidates in the pivotal swing states of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, and North Carolina.

The pro-life leader also observed that liberal candidates such as Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC), Michelle Nunn (D-GA), and Alison Lundergan Grimes (D-KY), who had historically been committed to abortion on demand, were forced to hide or disguise their support for abortion. Meanwhile, pro-life candidates responded with strength and fearlessness to questions about abortion.

“Clarity on abortion for them was the enemy,” Dannenfelser said. “But as we have always said, hiding from this issue is impossible. Our candidates stood strong while these three women were resoundingly defeated.”

It always was phony. And it always cracks me up the STUPID people that always fall for a new "strategy" by the Democrats.

But the "War on Women" strategy was the phoniest of all.

The Democrats the "defender of women?"

This is the party that looked the other way while Ted Kennedy drowned a woman and got away with it.

This is the party where Ted Kennedy threw a woman on Chris Dodd, and jumped on top of her to make a "waitress sandwich."

This is the party that looked the other way while Bill Clinton, hordogged, preyed on, or brutalized women like Juanita Broaderic and Paula Jones.

This is the party that did everything they could to attack Sarah Palin's appearance, and intelligence because she was a woman, daring NOT to be feminist.

Remember Obama's "lip stick on a pig" comment?

This is the party that protects women? Look's like enough of the country finally WISED up, Tuesday.

It always takes a while for the country to wise up to a fraud.

Here's to NOT letting them go back to sleep again, which is what Republicans usually do.

It existed before the Democrats got involved and it exists now.

it proves in more ways than one how PHONY, ugly, nasty and LIARS the Democrats and that party is.

glad the people finally WOKE UP

Considering that republicans got a higher percentage of the woman vote this year that 2012 I guess a lot of women are evidently at war with themselves, especially the women republicans who just got themselves elected.

Dead? No, it will be alive and well again in two years. You guys love to beat up on the panties, since they can't fight back.
Yeah, like planned parenthood teaches 6 year olds how to use dildos.
Total nonsense, but thanks.
Bullshit it's true, and your party owns it.
You really shouldn't lie. The Bible condemns such a thing.
Like you care, I bet Clinton volunteers on those days.

So how soon will the new Republican Congress be passing that amendment to the Constitution to ban all abortion?

Never. The most you would ever get, even in a 80% republican majority in the house would be an amendment leaving the abortion question to the States.

When a liberal press starts calling a democrat Mark Uterus you know the war on women is over.

Democrats should definitely say that the republicans will pass a constitutional amendment banning all abortion. It will give those democrats something to do.

No...
It's not dead. It's not even a new thing. It has been shelved and used under different contexts before. It may be shelved again but just like racism it's a technique the bed wetters will never let go of.
