So,a coherent picture is emerging:

The Russian kleptocrat, Putin, and his band of anointed criminal oligarchs have too much criminally gained money and can't spend it all at home. They need money laundering vehicles. While deutsche bank is a willing and helpful layering and structural mechanism, they can't control or provide the capacity for integration of the criminal money into the economy and back into the bank accounts of the criminal russians.

Simply put, the russian criminals have so much money that they and deutsche bank cant find enough willing criminals to launder it.

Enter: Donnie Deadbeat.

Desperate Donnie, blacklisted by virtually every other lending institution on the planet, in default to deutsche bank for $300+ million and suing them, and surrounded by criminals, is told by his criminal advisers that there is potential for virtually endless cash.

Deutsche bank and the Russians, seeing an excellent opportunity to use the moron to launder criminal money, conspire to lend Deadbeat Donnie not only the money to pay themselves back, but hundreds of millions more. These loans are backed by the russian criminals, who can reduce their costs by taking interest on the money they deposit to lend to Donnie Deadbeat.

Deadbeat Donnie and his criminal enterprise then use this money to purchase properties through which Russian criminals will launder their criminal money. One method is to sell these properties at inflated prices to the Russian criminals through a series of obscurant LLCs, with Deadbeat Donnie's profit being part of the premium paid for laundering the criminal money. In case you weep for the poor criminals paying too much for the money laundering, remember: the properties were purchased with their money in the first place, after it was lent to donnie Deadbeat at a premium (interest).

It's a beatiful scam, really. But the wheels are falling off, as the American Congress has taken interest in the scam due to the concern of having a criminal president beholden to foreign, criminal interests.
