.
It wasn't a gaffe.
So what was it?
Treason.
No. Treason is a very serious specific charge - and very narrowly defined in our Constitution.
Traitorous maybe.
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."
Donald Trump's refusal to allow defensive actions to protect U.S. elections, his refusal to accept the findings of the American Intelligence and law inforcement and to take the appropriate actions constitutes treason.. He is both "adhering to our enemy" and "giving them Aid and Comfort".
Russia is currently in a state of war against the U.S. It may be oly a cyber-war, but any attack on our elections is an act of war against us.
Donald Trump took an oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
He is in no way faithfully executing his duties, nor is he protecting and defending the Constitution:
"provide for the common defence" means defending the U.S. - including cyber warfare.
By failing to take the appropriate actions to stop Russia from meddling in our elections he is grossly in dereliction of his duties.
