Gunfights never go like you think they will...not ever. Some putz running his mouth about an operation being a success or failure needs to be jerked into that reality. This raid was difficult but successful in the intel that was gathered but is being portrayed as a "failure" by Trump haters.

No, "totally botched". They went in without sufficient intel and encountered a well equipped, heavily fortified camp. There was loss of civilian life, including children. A Seal was killed. One of their aircraft was shot down and had to be destroyed to keep it from falling into Al Qaeda's hands.

"Barry" is the guy who sent a seal team into a heavily fortified compound, where they killed Osama Bin Laden without killing any women or children, losing any multi-million dollar equipment, or losing a single member of a Seal team.

You're right. Barry refused to approve this mission because they didn't have sufficient intel, and he was correct in that decision. Trump just proved how little he cares about the lives of the military because he didn't even read the briefing memo, he just sent that team in to be hammered. He's very lucky they weren't all killed.

Their mission included grabbing vital intelligence on the group, which is known for planning attacks against the West, including the 2014 Charlie Hebdo office massacre in Paris.

When Obama was briefed that the optimal time to launch the raid would be eight days after he was out of office, he deferred the decision to President Trump, almost as a "professional courtesy," said one official.
