Blog: Saudi Royals signal the real magnitude of the deal they made with Trump

President Trump’s spectacular reception in Riyadh is a signal to the world (and to Saudi subjects, in particular) that big changes are coming.

Elderly and frail King Salman ventured out onto the apron in 110 degree heat and actually shook Melania Trump’s hand as she deplaned Air Force One, thereby touching a female infidel.

Perhaps even more important in terms of Saudi daily life, the women in attendance at functions did not wear head coverings and abayas.

The entire nation saw this on television and understands that the fracking-created global oil glut changes everything, that the infidels no longer cower in fear of a cutoff of the oil that Allah granted to the protectors of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

The old arguments of the fanatics hold less water.

Change is coming.

he King signaled that the restrictions declared by the Wahhabi clergy are no longer the ultimate arbiter of personal behavior, and that Saudis are going to have to start respecting the customs of the infidels.

Something like his handshake gesture can seem trivial, quaint, or even humorous to Americans, but it is very serious business. The role modeling of the women at the highest and most formal level reaches deep into the culture.

It is now clear that the King and his two designated successors (Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nyef and Mohammad bin Salman) have made a deal to liberalize Saudi Arabia. The deal-maker preside
nt has told them that there is a price of continued American support.

Donald Trump touched down in Saudi Arabia late last night for his first trip abroad. When the doors opened, and the President stepped off of Air Force One, what he saw shocked and amazed him.

King Salman of Saudi Arabia threw a massive celebration and personally went to meet Trump on the runway.

Now, before you go thinking “Oh, the Saudis do this for everybody,” they don’t.

The Saudi King is an elderly man at age 81 who does not often make it all the way to the runway to greet foreign leaders. To personally be there in the heat to greet Trump is the highest honor.

Not only that, but Saudi Arabia had their capital covered in American flags and pictures of President Trump to honor our leader. Oh, and there was the 7-jet flyover that painted the skies in Red, White, and Blue. A beautiful sight.

Right After Trump Landed in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi King did the UNTHINKABLE for Trump

YOU BETCHA.

Each and every time a president won without winning the popular vote, Democrats were screwed over.

You're welcome. That is what democrats are for. But you seem to keep missing the key word---- WIN. Trump won the election. Popular count DOES NOT MATTER, except to democrats. Next time we win the election, I hope the democrats get SIX million more popular votes! And still lose!

Trump is breaking barriers and getting things done.....that is the only reason the establishment is trying to pull him down. They will fail bigly because the people are on Trump's side

Well, 38% are on his side. 56% disapprove of him, and 8% aren't sure. Some people are on his side, but no where near as many as you seem to think.
Trump's approval rating drops to new low: Poll

Yes...those polls also told us hilary is now the President......

I forgot. You're a RWNJ who thinks Rump on the popular vote. Carry on with your silly beliefs, Not my place to tell you yet again how you are wrong
No such thing as the presidential popular vote. It's not official. Trump won the popular vote of the Electoral College.

It has nothing to do with the media. It has to do with his job performance. Trump has performed so badly, and done next to nothing in his first 100 Days, that smart people are seeing this and reacting to what he's done in relation to what he promised, that they're waking up to what a mistake he is.

Right. I want some of what you're smoking! Just a puff! It has EVERYTHING to do with the media (they obviously found a sucker in you!); as to Trump, he has accomplished more in his first 100 days than most any other president, and he has been going right down the checklist of his promises. You must spend your days watching Nickelodeon. There goes the Road Runner now! As to waking up, it is obviously Dragonlady that you've spent your whole life in some sort of somnambulism. Not worth the time even talking to you.

I never believed hilary got all those votes. She's unpopular. The only time crowds showed up at her rallies in high school gymnasiums is when she brought in big name celebrities. After the celebrities stopped performing and hilary started talking, the crowds drifted away. There had to be shenanigans in the vote counts.

IT DOESN'T MATTER how many you think are on his side from some meaningless media poll! You don't run a nation from polls, you run a nation by what needs to get done.

I am so sick of people who take everything no matter how good, and deliberately try to put a negative spin on it.

Obama was a flaming asshole and he STILL had a 60% approval rating! Why? Because the media was on his side. He was a naturally gregarious person whom the media made appear even more so. About 96 to 99% of all media releases, article and stories from the MSM have all been negative on Trump, so how the hell can you expect the average person out there to think anything good about him? Good God, how can people not see that?!

Poll results will change eventually when people start seeing the RESULTS of his actions! And if you really believe that only 38% of the people out there approve of Trump, then HOW THE HELL did he win 30 states and 306 electoral votes? And Virginia he only lost by a shave.

Let me answer that for you, because what the public is responding to isn't their disdain for Trump, it is their disdain for all of the crap they keep reading in the press everyday, which is not what they want to be hearing, which is being created by the media and spun to be tagged on Trump as if it were all his fault. People want to see a government that is actually working, for them.

EVER SINGLE ISSUE in the news, if it were happening under Hillary or Obama, would be presented by the democrats and media (same difference) in an entirely different and better light!!!

It has nothing to do with the media. It has to do with his job performance. Trump has performed so badly, and done next to nothing in his first 100 Days, that smart people are seeing this and reacting to what he's done in relation to what he promised, that they're waking up to what a mistake he is.

He's really unpopular with illegals. Maybe in your book that's a minus though.

Will Trump do the Saudi Sword Dance like Bush did?

Will Trump and the Saudi King kiss like he did with Bush? Love it when Republican leaders kiss Arab kings. Don't you?

Now there is a rational mind! Yes, how did Hillary get 1.9 or 2.8 million more votes nationwide (it varies with the source) when no one came to her rallies? She spent something like a 9 month period avoiding all media, and the other half of the time either coughing, falling over, fainting or stuck in a turnstile. The only reason why she had anyone at all following her around was because they were PAID to do so (MSM press or bused, fake fans). Listening to Hillary Clinton give a speech was like when you were a kid listening to your parents tell you that someday you really WOULD like broccoli!

2500 jobs immediately going to Texas, with potential to grow to over 12,000 jobs as Saudis will be building and operating a refinery there. Another $110B in arms. That's B as in billions.

While watching live a British reporter mentioned the job numbers for Texas and the city (Port something or other) and also the growth details. Nothing posted online yet.

Get 'er done Trump! Bring the good, high paying jobs to America!

P.S Even the most powerful leader in the country, a KING. A man who is a strong follower of Islam, in a strict Islamic country, shows respect for the First Lady with a welcoming handshake.

Same happy news when Bush arraigned the Shell deal in Alaska. Not one American gained employment.

Carrier: The vast majority of jobs went to Mexico.

Ford: Expanding their Mexico assembly plants.

I'll believe it when it happens.

I don't recall the Shell deal in Alaska, too many years, but I will say that whenever oil prices go up, Alaskan's get more employed and more rich. Bush years were really good up here. I seem to recall $3k Permanent Fund Dividends heh

You're an ass. I have shaken hands with every Saudi king since ibn Saud....to include Salman, Fahd and Abdullah.

The SAG indulged Trump because he was president. They think he's an idiot.

RWNJ Pootarian traitors screeched about First Lady Michelle Obama didn't cover her head but they're fine with Melania and Ivanka doing same thing.

For the record, it's fine that they're not wearing head covering. It's the usual lying hypocrisy of the nutters I'm talking about.

OP is wrong of course. The Arab/Muslim culture will not change for trump. That's idiocy.

Oil, arms and hotels.
