Hilarious that liberals say "this is a sign Trump won't deal" when Trump asked for 25 billion, liberal didn't budge. He went down to 5.7 billion, liberals didn't budge and shut the gov't down for 6 weeks. They finally give him 1.375 billion and then put in provisions that the mayors can opt out of the wall in their districts if they want.

But Congress CANNOT override 4 billion added pulled from the defense budget w/Pentagon approval, to the 1.37 billion, irrespective of a Nat'l emergency!

A friend of mine predicted the President would sign such a bill and then declare a national emergency last week, but I argued it would be better for him to agree to short term funding of the government and then declare a national emergency. I still think that would have been a better idea, but I'm guessing this was a compromise to help some Republican members of Congress from purple states avoid the stress of continuing short term funding.Libs are going to be beside themselves !
