America is supposed to be the land of low taxes and Entrepreneurship. That's what our Founders wanted. But we've lost our way. Too many Americans want to punish success because they're too lazy to get out and go for it themselves.

It's exactly what Winston Churchill talked about in reference to Socialism/Communism back in the day. I urge people to check out some of his comments.

With this, if you are a thinking individual, you have to agree. The government has WASTED to much money, DEMANDED more, and tries to convince you it is FAIR. How DUMB are we?

I personally believe that Americans will pay whatever it takes; IF, and only IF, WASHINGTON gets its crapola together. You can not spend 1/3 of domestic spending on "government waste," then turn around and tell the people you need more money, lol.

Come on Americans, why would you want to pay MORE of your paycheck to government, when they waste 1/3 of what you send them?

Imagine if you are a middle class tax payer, and you pay 6000 bucks a year in federal income taxes. If the feds got their stuff under control, 1000 bucks would help them, and you could pocket 1000 bucks and it would be BETTER! To ignore this reality is just everyone throwing everyone else under the bus.

If government was a charity, and we looked into how much money allocated for helping people, actually went to helping people. We'd all (left and right) be calling for people to stop donating to them. I don't know why the left is so against getting a bigger bang for the taxpayers buck.

No, the U.S. is not a high-tax country. But saying exactly how not-high-tax we are gets a little tricky.

That article isn't analyzing it the same way as Trump surely meant it. The way I see it, they're comparing tax per GDP and tax per capita. However, in terms of raw tax revenue, the US is definitely the highest. According to the data set they were quoting, US brings in four times as much taxes as the number two, Germany. Big China is not even in that list.
