An allegation isn't proof of either guilt or innocence. If and when there is a trial over classified documents, and if the prosecution brings the issue up, it will be their responsibility to prove matters. At that time they'll have to present evidence that (1) the conversation occurred and (2) the passing of the information was a crime.

Thus at this point all the knee-jerk focus on the word "alleged" I find awfully weak. I see the article's vulnerable point being the reliability of an un-named source. That source is one matter I'd like to know about. As for the conversation itself, with the name Anthony Pratt provided, journalist have a good head start on researching the other part of the matter.
