As to the OP, the linked article is grossly one-sided, and the grieving mother comes across as deeply troubled and incapable of providing a rational, coherent or trustworthy account of what actually happened.

She may be someone plagued by excessive religiosity and its often attendant mental illness, and such an environment may have signaled that her child would have struggled - and perhaps taken her own life - regardless of any issues with gender transition.
