A mob of 40 to 60 juveniles (identity carefully avoided) took over the station and proceeded to beat and rob passengers.

The attack was quick, police reported, and the teenagers were able to retreat from the station and vanish into the surrounding East Oakland neighborhood before BART officers could respond. The train that was hit was held for about 15 minutes as authorities investigated the crime and tended to the injured.

Could it be possible that that neighborhood has a population of people of African descent?

The racial/ethnic composition of East Oakland is 51% African American, 38% Latino, 4% Asian, 4% White, 2% two or more races, 1% Pacif c Islanders, and less than 1% each of American Indians and other race. From http://www.acphd.org/media/53459/eoakland05.pdf

As an aside; few people know that Oak Land was named for the live oaks that thrived there. Their acorns were an important staple for the Miwok Indians who lived there before the Americans arrived and sent them to reservations where they had to rely onj government agents to survive.

The chickens are coming home to roost. Elections have consequences. Sanctuary cities are areas where crime is allowed. Californication deserves all the misery that liberalism is willing to give them.
