Total destruction: GOP out to biggest generic ballot leads in history in both Gallup

Stay on track and don't deflect.

If you use words demeaning to sex, to race, to ethnicity, to origin, etc., you are wrong, period.

I would like to see a link to the post where Divecon was being a racist. I have never known Divecon to be racist.

I was not talking about Divecon on the issue of race or sex.

His issue is deeply-seated wrong understanding of America and its culture, in my opinion.

cad, you must be a liberal, never answering but always asking questions.

Of course it makes you a sexist.

very socratic of me,no?

i forgot, what question did you ask me that i haven't answered?

so i guess virtually every man in america and throughout the world is a woman-hater?

sorry, another damn question.

I did not ask a question.

You did.

Nice try.

how can i answer something i haven't been asked?
oh i forgot, i'm not offering enough solutions to sastisfy jake.

i'll go back to my cave and stop taking up your oxygen.

Nah, you need to breathe, cad. Read the entire thread, please, and then get back to us.

no thanks.

the only issue i took with you was when you said saying "bad words" makes one a racist/sexist.

i think that's absolutely inccorect.

you said all men who have ever called a woman a bitch are sexist. i think that's absurd, you don't.

Yeah, they do. Say at work, and I will fire you. Say at school, I will send you for sensitivity training: if you don't get it, I will expel you as a student or fire you as a staff or faculty member. Say in the military I will give you nonjudicial punishment.

That you don't think it is wrong is completely immaterial.

i don't know if that was in response to my last post, but i'll assume it is (please correct me if i'm wrong)

if i ever said calling people names doesn't have consequences, that was a great response.

but since i didn't, i fail to see the point you were making. great redirection.

again, if you were responding to another post, i apologize. i'm sure you were making a great point.

It is a great point. And to use it is wrong. Using it is either, almost always, going to be either internal or external oppression.

so you backtracked from saying using a bad word makes you a racist/misogynist to using a bad word is wrong and can get you in trouble.

thank you for that clarification and for making a more sensible argument.

You can't trap me in what I did not do. My best advice to you: don't use the words. If you don't understand, certainly don't use the words. If you do understand (and refuse to admit it), then you are in a small minority that is vanishing. That's a good thing.

i'll begin where i entered the conversation
jake:"You use the words, you are a racist, period. If you use the words, you are a racist."
I said, using the words doesn't mean you're a racist.
You, slyly, came back with a completely different argument:" If you use words demeaning to sex, to race, to ethnicity, to origin, etc., you are wrong, period."
You than wrote:"That you don't think it is wrong is completely immaterial."
Of course, I never said that I don't think using demeaning words isn't wrong. I simply said using certain words doesn't mean you're a racist, sexist, etc..which was your original point.

So in conclusion, you made two very different claims
(1) using demeaning words means makes you a racist
(2) using demeaning words is wrong

Where did i go wrong? please feel free to correct me. and try to be a little less condescending, and skip the advice. oh, and don't tell me i said things i didn't.

you did so say that about me you fucking LIAR

is this commonplace for jake to change arguments and to claim you made statements that you actually didn't?

cad, you changed the premise, and I refused to go along.

Don't use the words, whether you understand or not.

Now move along.

understand what?

i did change the premise when i asked the socialist question. which of course you dismissed in your normal condescending way. then i brought it back to issues of race/sex. does calling a woman a bitch make a man a woman-hater? you replied yes. you seemed to be going along fine with it.

you then went on to make an unrelated point about how using mean words is wrong. thanks, i didn't realize that.

using bad words is "wrong" and can get you fired from your job. using bad words does not make you a racist/misogynist.

but according to you it does, and as always, i bow to your superior intellect and reasoning skills. i guess i should just take your advice and move along. DiveCon, you should just move along as well. jake said you're a racist. it's over.

No, cad, I did not change the premise.

Cad, listen carefully. Look at me. Look in my eyes. Good. Good. Now listen: don't use the words.

jake, i really thought you were better than this.

did i ever say to use the words? did i ever condone using the words? did i ever promote using the words? THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!

because i am doing such a horrible job explaining myself, i'll ask you. what point was i making? what was the first thing i said to you? or even better, what was your original premise? from what i understand, it was using certain words makes you a racist. am i wrong?

no, cad, you don't get to change the premise to suit you.

I don't care if you don't understand.

Trust me when I say don't use the words.

Good night.
