Time to make Puerto rico a state

On msnbc a congressman is talking about how our military could put up telecommunications on that islands overnight and we also have ships capable of giving water to these people. Why not?

Military people only follow orders. The order to help Americans on Puerto Rico has not been given by Donald Trump, Commander-in-Chief.

These people are American citizens and we should give them every right every other American has...
-Vote for President, senator, congressman, etc.
-Respect

And we should probably invest a few hundred billion in their energy infrastructure.

You can't "make" them a state.

They can vote themselves statehood, but have never done so in the past.

They know what the cost is for doing so.
