Making things illegal never prevent those willing to risk the minor penalties.
Like the War on Drugs actually increased drug use by making it more profitable.

Our technology gives everyone the ability to commit mass murder.
Then can use explosives, toxins, flammables, etc.
Guns are the least of our worries because the person has to actually be there in person, is limited in what harm they can cause, and it can't be repeated.
We should be glad when they decide to use a gun, because then they will be killed or caught.
If they use explosives, toxins, flammables, etc., then they can keep doing it over and over again, and might never get caught.

Obviously when there are so many of these school shooting, and they are not over greed, then clearly the fault is with society in general, that has to be causing a great deal of harm and should be changed.

We had far more guns per household in the 1800s then now, and gun ownership has always been on a slow decline.
The reality is that the more guns in the hands of the people, the better society you have from there being less crime and corruption.
We are just so corrupt now that we can not even tell any more.

And your hyperbole makes no sense.
There are about 30k gun deaths per year, but half of them are suicides.
So there are only about 15k murders with guns, and almost all of those can be attributed to the War on Drugs, that makes a cash system very enticing for violence.
Same as all the shootings Prohibition caused.
