You know, you guys could just try to argue the bill on it's merits. But since you aren't doing that, i presume that you dont think it has any.
I'll argue it on it's merits:
1. It's a fund for 9/11 workers that fell ill because they were trying desperately to save people buried under tons of rubble.
There's my first point, do you have a counterpoint?
It is a good thing we had W in office on 9/11, Gore would have scheduled a meeting with bin laden and asked him not to do it again. W did the right thing, period! The left NEVER get TIRED of using one "group" or another for their political GAMES, do they.
The RIGHT are the ones who have using 9/11 as a political ploy for 8 years.
Hearing this from you is just fucking priceless.
This is just a bill to help 9/11 workers. That's it. They're not trying to use 9/11 as a reason to invade another country.
Democrats make the rules. They could pass it in Congress with a simple majority, if they want.
I do, what do you think health insurance is for? Why does the gov't think they have to take care of them? Oh wait, the lefty gov't thinks it has to take care of everybody, socialists. You know, you guys could just try to argue the bill on it's merits. He looks like a pompous little banty rooster.
No, he looks like a tough motherfucker who's not going to take any shit from some rightwing assholes.
Too bad our president doesn't do the same.
There is no filibuster in the House. Democrats wanted it fast tracked, which requires 2/3, because they don't want it amended.
An excellent point, which is completely ignored by the left leaning members in this thread.
I mean they can't even address why they arent recieving health services from their benefits that we all know they had as first responders.
Not only this they act like it a rush when 9/11 happened over 9 years ago. If this was such an important piece of legislation, it should have been brought up years ago.
But they can't argue for the legislation. They just say "9/11" and think it must pass.
That's not how the US works.
Im not saying this is bad legislation. The problem is those who are whining about it not passing arent making any serious arguments for it. Relying on emotions is not a serious argument. That's the argument of a con man.
You're SO RIGHT!
Because not one Democrat voted to give George Bush war powers after 9/11, right?

Why do you hate the 9/11 workers? Terrorist!!!
AmericanFirst? More like MeFirst, Americans Last.
You know what, I have to go, and I'm tired of reading all the lame excuses, rationalizations, and character attacks anyway.
I find this entire discussion to be seriously disappointing.
tell ya what, make it a clean stand alone bill, and it passes hands downhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O_GRkMZJn4
...Until Republicans stop filibustering the 9/11 health bill.
They used 9/11 as a fucking political tool for 8 years now, to advance their agenda, and now they shamelessly are stopping this bill from going through.
This is absolutely disgusting.

I don't know that as no one has actually shown a link to the bill. And I doubt most here have read it.
