Republicans Declare Banning Universal Free School Meals a 2024 Priority
As states across the country move to make sure students are well fed, Republicans have announced their intention to fight back.

"States across the country are moving to provide universal free school meals to all our children. Meanwhile, Republicans are trying to stop them from doing just that. The Republican Study Committee (of which some three-quarters of House Republicans are members) on Wednesday released its desired 2024 budget, in which the party boldly declares its priority to eliminate the Community Eligibility Provision, or CEP, from the School Lunch Program. Of note is that the CEP is not even something every school participates in; it is a meal service program reserved for qualifying schools and districts in low-income areas. The program enables schools that predominantly serve children from low-income backgrounds to offer all students free breakfast and lunch - his is what Republicans are looking to eliminate."
About time the GOP is putting together bold new policy initiatives that are popular with the majority of Americans -- it is without question one of the most critical and wildly popular policies with the majority of Americans. Fact of the matter is, schools shouldn't be in the business of providing lunches at all, let alone free lunches. I have long felt that all school cafeterias should either be eliminated or at least outsourced to a patriotic catering company who will not serve children food injected with woke-communist hormones that forces them to be gay Marxists. When you poll average Americans, at least 85% of real Americans want school lunch programs abolished because it enables poor students and their loser broke parents to not get jobs and better themselves. In fact, as one brave Conservative Superstar said, if the loser parents of these children are using the school free lunch program, maybe we should have their kids removed by Child Protective Services....I suggest they be placed in patriotic Christian conservative group homes; so they will be protected from pedo parents who can't even afford to buy their kid's lunch.
"After a far-right Republican state lawmaker claimed there are no hungry people in Minnesota because he hasn’t met any, then voted against a free school lunch program, extremely conservative pundit Ben Shapiro, considered a right wing “thought leader,” weighed in, declaring Child Protective Services – not free school lunches – is the solution."
Ben Shapiro flamed for suggesting sending kids to CPS is a better alternative than offering free lunches

This is what the left doesn't want the GOP to go public with; they preferred when the GOP would try to distance themselves from their own policies or try to pass them covertly - because if the GOP went public with these policies, they would get overwhelming support. So it is good to see the GOP are taking the gloves off and telling the American people what they stand for -- and not cowering to the woke-left.
