I go to take a nap, and come back to find this thread at Page 9. Who had a meltdown?
ME!
Apparently I'm a bad person for wanting to keep little children innocent and not sexualized for a little while longer.
I haven't had a good meltdown for awhile, and I am just chilling on the couch, so it's all good!
You don't seem to understand that giving children skills and confidence is not what gets them victimized.
And is this the only way to give children skills and confidence? Is it the best way? People have the right to their opinions, my opinion is that this level of sexualization and this level of competition is not age appropriate. Kids need to be kids and explore every part of their world, that means the trees, fields, and fences and not just how to put on makeup, wiggle and smile for the judges. There's time for all that other stuff later, when they can really understand what it is they're doing and committing to.
