There's Something About Mary Reviewed----Why Vulgarity Fails

I guess a lot people like filth. It cost 23 million to make it and has rung up 369 million at the box office which goes to show you filth pays
Doesn't mean I have to watch it. Sickness is not good. But you go ahead.

Sure. You could say the same thing about porn, illegal drugs, and prostitution. Doesn't mean they're good things.

I was 16 or 17 when it came out. Thought it was pretty hilarious at the time, as did most my age. Haven’t had any real desire to rewatch it.

But If you want to watch the censored version, fine, whatever. No right to ban the full version, if that’s what others want to watch.

The destruction of decency and morality.
We have been hearing this same shit from crusty old bastards for hundreds of years. And look who is always standingin the way of making society better...yup, same crusty old bastards.

Dirty movies have never made society better. Only worse.

But let me tell you something, friend. I've been around the block. Been married 34 years, raised five kids, had a business for 32 years. I know what works and what doesn't, by now. It's about relationships, it's about being as healthy as you can be, and it's about being as godly as you can be. Anything that's not part of that shouldn't be there.

Yet they have been around since the first movie. So maybe find a better use for your time.
Yes, and you can't say society has gotten better over the years. And certainly not in the past 50 years. Unless you're a kid who doesn't know anything.

I guess if you measure the decency and morality by how much profanity and sex there is in our movies, then we certainly would rank pretty low and Iran and Saudi Arabia would rank pretty close to number one. However, if you measure the morality of our nation based on how well it comes to the aid of our neighbors next door, across the county and across the oceans, the USA would rank pretty high. I for one, believe the latter is a far better guide to morality of a nation than the former.

The decline is hidden from you, or you choose to ignore it.

In short, this entire discussion is a waste of time. As a nation, we have never turned the clock back in regard to personal freedoms and we are certainly not going to start now. You may think that is worse or better but it is what is, so get use to it.

Come get us, commie.
