Actually, an analysis of the loyalty of the forces on the ground reveals that the crises is the fault of the U.S. and the U.K.

After WWII, both the US and the UK held the right to self determination of nations. That is not what is going on here. That is a plane and simple fact. If you do a little of your own research and reading, it's pretty well established. The western intelligence services supported the fascist government against the ethnic Russian majority wishes. So when the enclaves in eastern Ukraine walked, the fascists in the capital turned to violence.

This isn't rocket science, really it isn't. The UK and US are being hypocritical, turning their back on democracy, and going against what they sacrificed for in WWII. They are standing WITH the evil they fought against. These are indeed dark time when we have become that evil.

It's also pretty bad when posters can't face the truth so they need to throw out fallacies and denial rather than face the truth.

Provided that Poroshenko had provided a mandate to the negotiators that would be acceptable for the rebelling regions, and provided that the armed forces of the rebelling regions cease firing, it is still highly questionable whether Poroshenko has the necessary authority and influence to force the so-called Ukrainian government forces to adhere to a ceasefire.


There are very few regular Ukrainian military forces involved in combat operations. The euphemism Ukrainian troops covers over a cohort of different forces. (see infographic to the left – click on image to view in full size)

The vast majority of these forces consist of troops from Ukraine’s National Guard which is formally under the control of the Interior Ministry and informally, but as a matter of fact, under the control of the ultra-nationalist Svoboda party.


A second contingent of brigades is under the control of Ukraine’s overtly Nazi Pravy (Right) Sector. These forces were previously known as UNA-UNSO and have long-standing ties to NATO, U.S. and British intelligence services.


Even if Poroshenko should succeed at gaining support from the Svoboda Party to have the various units of the National Guard to cease firing, it is highly improbable that Pravy Sector brigades would adhere to a cease-fire order.
