The Tea Party Will Lose Big Tonight

Doesnt matter, alrdy have another Sen heading to DC. Guy who special election in FL will be going back and hopefully joined by Mia Love.

Doesn't matter. Mia is a House candidate who will be replacing a Dem who consistently voted against ACA. Your GOP 'senator' from FL is a guy who beat a dem in a especial election for the 13th House district.
No its Sasse....NE

Sasse may talk TP but he is in fact a Washington insider who disdains folks like Cruz and Lee. He will work with the establishment to end the inner GOP civil war.

What Ben Sasse's Win in the Nebraska Republican Primary Means - Molly Ball - The Atlantic

But Sasse actually represents less the Tea Party's anti-incumbent rage than the sort of fusion candidate who can unite the party establishment and base—a well-credentialed insider who can convince the right wing he's on their side. As Dave Weigel put it in Slate, "Sasse is a veteran of the establishment who masterfully ingratiated himself with the conservative movement." Particularly in red states, he could represent the harmonizing future of the GOP in a post-GOP-civil-war world. Last week, Thom Tillis won the North Carolina Republican primary more by straddling the establishment and Tea Party than by taking sides; Sasse did so even more effectively.

whatever, have an orgasm over it or something

now the left is rooting for Republicans for what reason?

As a Libertarian, (one of the majority who don't smoke pot), I can't agree with some of the TP's objectives. However, when the NeoCons and the Progressives who are ruining this country, side together against them, it shows that they have merit.

Ideology is cool and all but it don't put money in the bank. The tea party cost the MIC some money and now they must die. It's harsh but it's the way of American politics, no one fucks the defense industry and lives.

This isn't a stellar victory for incumbents.... McConnell won by around 62% of the vote.......He should have gotten 90% for the nomination. That means a almost unknown person with almost no air time and who was consistently slandered won almost 40% of the primary vote.... This should scare the shit out of the establishment.

Watching the tea party movement fall apart has been a delightful experience.

Oh, and btw,

we told you so.

Your hatred of a group of patriotic citizens that includes white-haired old ladies is amazing.

only white-haired old ladies like Hillary are worth anything to them
the rest (senior citizens which makes up a lot of the Tea party) only helped in making this country for them to hate on the citizens in it...so I guess they're not suppose to have a voice about it anymore. That privilege only goes to people like him and his ilk

Yes it should.

hard to say the tea party wins or the tea party loses.

It's an ill-defined group. A whole lot of small groups that have a ton of different priorities. There's no leadership and no platform. And so it's hard to transmit "success" or "failure" based on a few elections.

Tea Party candidates have been a big failure since 2010, they have pulled the GOP to the right though.

Just to show how loose tea party "membership" is:
"A group that called itself the Senate Tea Party Caucus did hold a meeting at some point last summer. The attendees included McConnell and McCain — those establishment stalwarts — who are therefore now listed as former members of the Tea Party Caucus ..."
?Tea Party? Has Outlived Its Usefulness | FiveThirtyEight

So what doers it mean to be 'tea party" ?????

The tea party is a mirage or better still it is the Emperor's New Clothes. Who is and who isn't is in the mind of the beholder
