He’s getting old and is looking for someone to either take over the museum or find a new home for them.

I have heard stories from older people about kids getting their arms stick in the ringer and it was excruciating for them while they had to wait for it to be taken apart to unfree them. I assume that is the origin of the saying about getting your tit stuck in a ringer.
