The seas are rising. The primary cause is global warming. Secondarily, they are rising from meltwater from Antarctica, Greenland and the world's glaciers and ice sheets. The island chains you mention but seem reluctant to name (the Marshalls) are at risk because they are extremely low in an area of the oceans that is experiencing significant rise. They are NOT on the lip of a plate and are over 1,380 miles from the nearest subduction zone. In previous conversations you claimed that the entire plate was sinking vertically which is about the stupidest thing I'd ever heard. There are many other places on the planet that are facing similar risks. Miami Beach, Florida is one.

80 billion tons of ice makes a cube ~4,800 yards on a side. The disappearing glaciers we've all seen here repeatedly would easily compensate. And, again, Zwally is STILL the only paper claiming a positive ice mass balance for Antarctica. Dozens claim otherwise and, to my knowledge, no one has come out in agreement with Zwally.
