I remember seeing commericals on t.v. for dvds of the old Celebrity Roasts...and they were funny. I tried watching some of the modern celebrity roasts on comedy central...they were filthy, and unfunny. It seems too many comedians today think that being filthy makes them funny.
A case to show the difference. The guy in charge of comedy centrals Celebrity Roasts was a guest on America's got Talent. He "roasted" two of the contestants and the judges...and he was actually pretty funny and on the mark with his humor....
I have seen him on his own show...and he is filthy and unfunny. I think when he has to actually monitor what he says, since he can't be filthy on AGT, he actually has to have funny jokes. I am sure you can find the AGT segment on line...check it out.
