Not Columbus itself ,but something just a s dark.The fake and cowardly liberals,who condemn Columbus's history rather than focusing on today's problems, would condemn it any way for the real reasons.In the 1890's in new Orleans Louisiana , the hatred against Italians was just as big as black. 11 Italians ,some still none American, were just acquitted for a crime they did not commit.The bigoted citizens could not tolerate this so they took the law into their own hands and murdered these men through mob justice .The Italian government was upset about this So were many Italian Americans ,since they were struggling along with black citizens .To calm the Italian government down President Benjamin Harrison promoted a celebration,Columbus day,Which since then has turned into what i see as a small holiday.It was designed to throw off the confusing of the lynching that happen against 11innocent Italian men .See this on you tube at NYTN. Repeat Columbus day has nothing to do with Columbus ,but 11 Italian men who were murdered in N.O.Shouldn't we have George Floyd day?
