And as well, when one owns more than they can defend with their own hands, that person has to enlist other members of society. But how can one be secure in such ownership against the mutiny by those he enlists, or against a larger mob? As it is abundantly clear that wealth (and indeed our modern way of life) would be impossible without the coercion of the threat of deadly force by the state, it is only reasonable that the same civil state protect against the excesses of such a society. That what western civilization is all about.
