Today's show was given over to different perspectives on the upcoming referendum on the 8th Amendment. Oonagh McDermott is in favour of a Yes vote. She told Joe how - when she was pregnant - she got a diagnosis of fatal foetal abnormality. She didn't travel for a termination, and ended up delivering the child in her own bathroom. Frank is going to vote No. He is a child born out of rape. He said that many people like him would not be around today if it wasn't for the 8th Amendment.

Trump to deny funds to clinics that refer for abortion

The Reagan-era rule barred family planning clinics from discussing abortion with women. It never went into effect as written, although the Supreme Court ruled that it was an appropriate use of executive power. The policy was rescinded under President Bill Clinton, and a new rule went into effect that required "nondirective" counseling to include a full range of options for women.

DUBLIN (AP) — Irish voters overwhelmingly repealed a constitutional ban on abortions and asked the country's parliament to enact laws that reflect the popular will and make abortions legal in the country for the first time, final results from a historic referendum showed Saturday.
