Things are only getting worse under Obama....is this the "transformation" that he spoke of....?

The middle class in the United States is being systematically destroyed, and nobody is doing much of anything to stop it.

Our incomes are shrinking, our share of the income pie is at an all-time low, our jobs are being sent overseas, debt burdens have soared to unprecedented heights and millions of formerly middle class Americans have fallen into poverty. America once had the largest and most vibrant middle class that the world has ever seen, but now it is rapidly being shredded.

Unfortunately, this is particularly true for younger Americans. Today, families that have a head of household that is under the age of 30 have a poverty rate of 37 percent. That is astounding. The truth is that there are not enough decent jobs for the hordes of young people that are entering the marketplace each year. Once upon a time, a college degree was just about a guaranteed ticket to the middle class, but in 2011 more than half of all college graduates under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed. Sadly, statistics tell us that the younger you are, the less likely you are to have a chance to live “the American Dream”.

Nearly half the country already lives in a household that receives direct financial assistance from the federal government, and that percentage grows with each passing day. We are rapidly being transformed from a country of middle class citizens into a country of impoverished government dependents. If dramatic changes are not made, the middle class in America will continue to decline every single year. What would our society look like if the middle class disappeared entirely at some point?

The following are 60 facts that prove that the middle class in America is being wiped out...

Why does obama hate the middle class? Could it be because he grew up wealthy, got everything handed to him, is now very wealthy, and was groomed to believe that he was superior? Probably.

You're an idiot if you think Obama has anything to do with the declining middle class. This is the result of Trickledown Reaganomics.

I beg to differ. Trickle absolutely is how this country runs the most effectively. Anything the government pays for is not part of trickle down economics.

It's the private sector that works best when people are successful and spend their money in other areas providing jobs for people all the way down to the mail room.

It doesn't help that more and more Americans are forced to delay retirement. I know lots of people well into their 60s and 70s who simply cannot afford to retire.

Manufacturing and skilled labor is the backbone of the middle class, if they keep regulating manufacturing offshore, the middle class will continue to decline. Skilled labor for construction and infrastructure will still be around but eventually the large numbers of people seeking those jobs will drive the wages down. Just think, you may starve to death, but you can breath really, really clean air while your dying.

There certainly is an ongoing massive redistribution of wealth up the income ladder. No doubt about it. And when the economic sector which was making 40 percent of all US corporate profits fucked everything up and destroyed our economy in the process, the government put them on the tit and ignored their crimes, because there's nothing sadder than a banker who committed fraud going to jail.

Instead of letting them fail and imprisoning the crooks, which is what real capitalism does, our tax dollars and our currency were hijacked to entrench them and make them even bigger at our expense.

The Dow is no longer based on fundamentals. It is one giant hallucination.

These are the mothers of all freeloaders.

But, hey! There's some guy on food stamps whose neck we really need to step on. And Obama has 54 Christmas trees! Fifty-four!!!

And his wife is fat.

It was pointed out on numerous occasions during the election that incomes had fallen some 4 thousand dollars during obama's first term and the stupids went ahead and gave him a second term. I have no fucking sympathy. the quicker we hit bottom the better.

Yes, but that would require rational thinking on the part of those who refuse to see that, and that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

The Dow is based on the assumption the next sucker will pay more than the last sucker !

The days of growing up to work in the same facotry as your daddy are over. We need to let the lava lamp assembly jobs go overseas where they belong. Paying someone union scale to do a low-skilled job is out of whack with the natural order of things.

We need to be educating our future workers for nanotechnology, biochemistry, photonics, high finance, and so forth.

Wait, what? The world still needs Druid philosophers ya know.

Untrue. A company's stock price is determined by the value of the company. The quality of its products, and the demand for same. It's innovation. It's cash balance. It's debts. It's workforce. It's competition. And so on and so forth.

At least it was until our politicians began to legislatively tilt the playing field in a big way to favor their friends, especially those in the financial sector.
