The Logan Act

Have you ever looked at the act? It absolutely doesn’t forbid what you claim is happening
Of course he hasn't looked at the act.

Some guest on MSNBC or some other example of the state of jounalism in the U.S. was invited specifically to proffer another anti-Trump theory and this supposed Logan Act violation was it.

Crepitus heard them and couldn't wait to post it.

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized American citizens with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. The intent behind the Act is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the government's position.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was amended in 1994, changing the penalty for violation from "fined $5,000" to "fined under this title"; this appears to be the only amendment to the Act.[2] Violation of the Logan Act is a felony.

I'd prefer a quote from the law rather than an unsourced blurb.

But taking you at your word, what is your evidence that Grenell negotiated anything?

So which country in your OP are we in a dispute with??

And what negations is this man doing?

Already covered, read the thread.

Wow, lying again? How about you provide a link to your claim maobama was asked to go to England by xiden. Doesn't xiden have a SOS for that? And to this point no one has addressed schumer meddling in Israeli politics.

.

Lol, so he just went to Guatemala to to say "howdy"?
Or to fund-raise for Trump's campaign, which seems more likely than "negotiating."

If fund-raising among foreigners is a crime, Obama and Biden should be placed in federal prison and have their cell doors welded shut.

Since the Logan act was signed into law in 1799 only two people have been charged with violating it one in 1802 the other in 1852 neither were convicted. So good luck going down this road.
