They are using the gay community to gain access to this money, not that they ever really cared about their causes.

This topic is not a left or right issue.
The topic of church tax free status is easily challenged using common sense reasoning.
Should we allow the Baal Harvest seed scam to go on unchallenged by scam laws, just because the scam is hidding under freedom of religion? Should we tax scam artists like we tax psychic phone line operators, tarot card readers? Well we do tax them, so we should tax Creflo Dollar who calls his weekly prosperity sermon "Financial Fridays".
We should tax Benny Hinn for healing an undercover man posing as an unable to get pregnant lady, when Benny said she could now bare a child. We should tax Mike Murdoch for selling books and boasting about writing a 1000 songs in a year.
We should tax Popoff just for being damn creepy as all hell.
We should tax all churches who claim the money is for a figure who would be required to pay taxes, and because they have not used the money to produce him, or house him, or build the Temple.
In fact technically they owe me that money and would be required to give that money back to the donors for failing local and federal laws regarding those non taxable donations.

By the way some states have these scam laws which forced these evangelists to move to states without them. It's why Benny Hinn moved to Texas as he was being charged in FL for Fraud under the then new scam law created from the Jamaican lady psychic network scam.
