Constantine was the first openly Christian emperor, Constantinople was the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire, and following Byzantine empire.

Constantine didn't convert to Christianity until he was on his deathbed. According to Rosie and the pagans, he was too busy rewriting the bible n stuff to do anything else.
The Orthodox Church split with the Roman Church in 1054 or somewhere in there.
