In other words, in a state like Ohio, you can cobble together the best possible scenario for the GOP — Bush's good showing among minorities from 2004, plus Romney's strong support among whites from 2012 — and given the demographic makeup of the 2016 electorate, the Republican nominee would still lose.

It is 2016 and white Americans are still a majority in this country, yet there are no chances for Republicans already, at least according to this article. By 2050, when current ethnic minorities becomes a majority the US will officially become a country with one party political system. It doesn't matter which party you support now, without worthy opponent any leadership will deteriorate in no time.

In case no one has noticed, we've been deteriorating for many decades now. Also, we've had one political party for over 50 plus years already. The only political party we have is "The Washington Brotherhood".

Since the demographic change is far more Hispanic and Asian than black, everything is in play.

The Dems can only rely on the black vote. Others can easily turn, especially after a seriously bungled administration and economic malaise.

That's what I was thinking , after obama cozing up to Iran and now Cuba, they just lost Florida

Probably that's the thing that is going to save American democracy.

You assume Hispanics will keep voting for idiot Democrats, they won't. Hispanics are not as dumb as African Americans, that's right I said it.
