The trend is clearly running against the GOP, however, and in any case (despite modest efforts by Speaker of the House John Boehner to move things forward), the Republicans in Congress shot down any chance for immigration reform this year.

Boehner is looking short term at the crisis with funding of Home Land Security. Rather than playing the long game, and accept the immigration crisis as something that needs to be addressed, he has only seen Obama's executive action as an overreach that must be addressed, even to the detriment of this country;s security..

The Latino community looks at the GOP's reluctance to address their issues even to the point of putting this country's security in danger, as a huge slap in the face. The GOP, in doing so, has doomed their chance of gaining more than 25% of the Latino vote in 2016. They have no chance of gaining the White House in 2016, due to their inability to play the "long game" with Obama.

Whether Obama loses in court or not, is not important. The GOP has revealed their hand and, in doing so, have shown their disdain for the Latino Community.

This idea of "Homeland Security" is a total farce as long as our southern border remains porous and essentially unmonitored. I'm (a natural born American citizen) far more scrutinized at an airport than foreigners are along our borders. There's something very wrong with that picture.
